I like the snappy timing on your animation, really fits the voice acting.

Amazing work, I really enjoyed it even if I haven't played Death Stranding yet.
I especially like the way you portrayed the Mario items like the "?" boxes at the beginning.

Pretty cool animation, but I was really expecting more. You didn't even colour the backgrounds ..

This would be a cool music-video for the remix you've used. Maybe make more stuff happen in the background? Shy Guys walking around etc.

This looks fucking amazing. I love how much work, effort and detail went in the animation and effects.
Only the human looks a bit overanimated and robotic sometimes. But that's just a nitpick.
I see that you use a lot of 3D/rotoscoping techniques, which does make it easier, but I'd be a bit careful animating humans and organic things this way.

The colour palette looks veeery accurate to the way the colours would look in the era you're inspired by.

Amazing work

Please upload the full animation when it's finished.
Don't spam NG with a 6 second clip please.

It does look pretty cool and I understand that you're eager to show the world what you're capable of, but please .. upload work that is finished.

yeah i realize ..sorry i was being too eager to show everyone ..its because im improving fast! so my apologies! im working on a the full version everything will be edited i'll add more effects to make it look legit and maybe mix my styles in animation because im currently studying a book that helps thank you for the response!

Not bad... I think the audio could be better. I think the Old Man could have some better voice acting. And the audio mixdown sounds a bit crappy.

I like the artstyle of the actual comic a lot (I mean the slides at the end), but the art and animation of the teaser itself is a bit choppy/fast and unnatural. I think the animator should work a bit on the timing of the keyframes.

But I'm looking forward to the comic!

Youtubers?! We don't want your kind around here.
Lol jk.

Pretty damn epic, even though I don't know half of those people.
Great use of the music. I like that you synced the hits up with the music.

Little criticism: I felt that the little orange "hit" fx might be a bit too static and not give that much impact, because it's just the same graphic reused. Right now it looks like it's going "wooooosh..." instead of "WAM".

You have to lower your audio a bit so it doesn't clip (crackle and distort) or maybe that's just the song that you used.

Also, the titles and fonts looked a bit amateurish, I know it's not that big of a deal, but it will make the whole animation just look that little bit more polished.

Aye, thanks! I always appreciate criticism ^-^ I'll keep all that in mind. Thanks!

Hello fellow HKU-student

I liked this animation a lot. Looks very polished and professional. Although a minor critique ( and maybe it's my personal preference) the animation looked a bit too "pose-to-pose" without much consideration for the weight of the characters (I mean, specifically on the animation of the old woman, who looks like she's able to walk without much trouble)
And some poses also looked a bit strange, like the one at 0:47.

(btw: welke studierichting volg je?)

Geslaagd voor 2d animatie nu

It's quite accurate to the 30s aesthetic in that it's in black and white, you're using the rubber hose-technique with a bit of smearing, and that the characters are very 20s/30s-esque same with the vignetting and filmic look. But on the other hand there's some stuff that is much more modern (like the camera angles and the easing in and out ).
You managed to make a modern animation with the feel of a 20s/30s cartoon, which I find very interesting!
It reminds me a bit of the old Astroboy cartoon from the 60s. Very well done.

And wow, you did all this in just 2 weeks? It takes me that long to draw 2 panels of a storyboard, hahaha.

Interesting ideas here. I've been watching your Madness animations for years now and you always seem to come up with new and interesting stuff!
