I like it when the bass kicks in. Very catchy!
Nice mix-down too. That drop is so catchy that I'd love to hear it come back one more time before the song ends.

You might want to introduce some of that stuff earlier or shorten the intro.
48 seconds might be a bit too long of a period to catch the attention of the listener (that's often when I see people losing attention).

Those ornaments are very baroque-esque. You really seem to like them don't you?
Sounds nice though. I feel like this would work well in a dramatic scene.

In terms of execution, I'd say it sounds a bit too static, some slight tempo changes might make it sound more natural (usually it speeds up and slows down, almost as if the music is "breathing") and give it even more emotional impact.

I'd also watch the levels before they hit the limiter (or compressor, idk) so the music gets more headroom and sounds less squashed.

This is just my constructive criticism, but overall I liked it a lot. Great use of counterpoint (I had to spend the entirety of last school-year learning about counterpoint .. so I recognised it right away, haha. You're better at it than I am.)

The mixdown sounds a little bit too cluttered it seems and I miss a bit of high end. But great as always. Love the overall energy and texture (orchestral + synths with bouncy beats). I'm glad to see you bringing these out so regularly. I really enjoyed Glorious Morning, back in the day. Keep it up!

Waterflame responds:

Thank you! It might just be me personally. I like high-end a bit less than most people. But im trying to literally get back up there so its generally more even.

Very cool!
I'd go easier on the highend though.

Damn

It's hard to vote 0 on something that doesn't suck at all :S

Let numbers and their superfluous systems slip away like soap ^^
KKS

decent

It's a bit 90s styled.
But it also sounds a lot like it's made on a cheap keyboard.
Try using higher quality/ more realistic vst's & sf2s.
I liked what you did at: 0:45

Still I didn't really like Rayman Origins a lot, the ending was dissapointing and it was all a bit too slapsticky.
I hope they're gonna work on a Rayman 4 soon.

Nice vibe!

Nice vibe, I like how it goes faster.

But I don't think the pizzicato works, you've gotta put it an octave higher.

Then later on, it get's better, you add more and more.

It has a nice structure, but I was hoping for a breakdown.

Overall, I think it's a nice track.

MyVGworld responds:

Oh a breakdown. Totally forgotten.... That was my plan! indeed that would have made it better.

Thanks for the review

shit

Notes are off, tempo is way off, that techno beat is aweful, the sounds are crappy.

This is one of the worst songs on Newgrounds.
